Notification

Any number of notifications can be defined for each alert. A notification consists of a recipient, a notification type, and an optional delay. The following notification types are available:

Note: Costs are incurred for SMS and voice call notifications. A cost limit must be defined in the subscription beforehand.

Delay notification

An individual delay time can be specified for each notification. If the alert is reset or acknowledged within the delay time, there is no notification.
Example: An alert is triggered when a cloud adapter disconnects. A delay of 60 seconds is defined. In case of short connection interruptions, such as the nightly forced disconnection, there is then no notification.

Likewise, the delay can be used to establish an alert chain. By assigning multiple recipients with different delays, a notification sequence will be defined. If a recipient acknowledges the alert (see details), the pending recipients are not notified.

Pause notifications

If you don't want to receive notifications for a period of time (e.g. during vacation), all notifications can be paused with just a few clicks. To do this, click on the user in the upper right corner and click on the icon there. The desired pause time can then be set or ended prematurely.

Enable push notification

Receiving push messages is a feature provided by modern browsers, especially smartphones and tablets. Unlike SMS, the device must be prepared beforehand to receive messages. To do this, open AnyViz on the appropriate device, click on the user in the upper right corner and there on Push notifications (this device).

Voice call details

A notification via voice call is considered as delivered as soon as the recipient has picked up the phone. If the recipient cannot be reached or does not answer the call, the call is repeated with a delay of 1 minute, 2 minutes, 4 minutes, 8 minutes, 16 minutes, 32 minutes and 64 minutes.

Caution: If the call is picked up by a mailbox, the notification is considered as delivered.

View protocol

To track which recipients have been notified of which alerts, the notification log can be viewed. To do this, click on the icon in the header area and there on the icon next to Alert Log and select Notifications. You will also find an cost overview under subscription.
