Security Center

The Security Center provides an overview of all events related to your user account and offers features to increase security.

Notify on login on new device

An important security feature is the email notification when a login with your user data occurs on a new device. This notification lets you know immediately if your credentials are being used by anyone else and allows you to act immediately by logging out of all devices and changing your password. You can unsubscribe from this notification at any time. For security reasons, it is strongly recommended to enable this feature.

Log out from all devices

As soon as you press this button, all sessions with your credentials will be terminated immediately. Furthermore, saved logins will become invalid, so that authentication with user name and password will be required everywhere. Use this feature if you suspect that your user account is being used by third parties. For example, if you forget to log out on a system that can be used by third parties.

Change password

Change your password if its security is no longer guaranteed.

Events

The Security Center event log lists all relevant interactions with your user account, such as failed and successful login attempts, 2-factor authentications, password resets, etc. Each event is listed with a timestamp, approximate location, and information of the end device used. If you notice any events that indicate unauthorized use of your credentials, you should immediately logout of all devices and change your password!

2-factor authentication

You can make your AnyViz account even more secure by using 2-factor authentication. With every new logon or critical system change, the code of an Authenticator app must then be entered, the fingerprint scanned, or approval granted via a key. This protects your account should your credentials be stolen. Unlike other systems, AnyViz allows the use of multiple methods.

Click Add to create another factor. Then assign a name for the login method before choosing one of the following options.

Authenticator App

A widely used two-factor authentication is the use of an app to generate a one-time password. To do this, you can use apps such as Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator or Authy. For setup, a QR code must be scanned, which contains the secret key. The app then displays a one-time password valid for a short time, which must be entered for confirmation.

Biometric

Use biometrics, such as Windows Hello, FaceID or TouchID to secure the user account. Depending on the end device, you may have to scan your finger or look into the camera to confirm your identity.

Security key

As an alternative to biometrics, you can use security keys, such as YubiKey, SoloKey or other FIDO2-compatible keys.

Note: The use of 2-factor authentication is recommended.
